Nabila Aulia Hasrie, B.A. (Hons), M.A.
Founder & CEO – Bestari Initiative
Nabila Aulia Hasrie is an Indonesian education advocate, political thinker, and the founder of Bestari Initiative. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Relations and Politics from Queen’s University of Belfast and a Master of Arts in South Asian Studies from Columbia University in New York. A proud recipient of the prestigious QUB’s Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship and Indonesian Government’s LPDP Scholarship, Nabila has always viewed education not just as a social cause, but as a deeply political issue tied to national progress, justice, and equity.
Her path could have easily led to international institutions or global corporations—but Nabila chose a different road. In a time when Indonesia’s young talents are increasingly encouraged to leave the country for better opportunities abroad, Nabila stands firmly in the belief that privilege must serve the public good. For her, the true measure of success lies not in escape, but in return to home and a service for the community.
Bestari Initiative was born from her conviction that Indonesia can only become a truly developed nation when its education system uplifts the most marginalized. Through this NGO, she is channeling her sense of national duty and deep sympathy for underprivileged children into concrete action—building schools, nurturing minds, and igniting change where it’s needed most: from the margins, upward.
“I believe education is the most powerful political act we can make for the future of our nation.”
